He later worked as an audit manager and then as the auditor responsible for auditing and advising well-known chemical and pharmaceutical companies throughout Germany. He was responsible for auditing the annual financial statements of many German subsidiaries of a pharmaceutical company that was formerly listed on the stock exchange and now belongs to a US group with 500 subsidiaries worldwide.
